In which cases is the removal of a baby tooth recommended?
We decide to extract a baby tooth if any of the following conditions are present:
- The decay has reached such proportions that root canal therapy doesn't yield the desired result.
- The orthodontist deems it necessary.
- The baby tooth is still in place alongside the erupted permanent tooth.
How is a baby tooth extracted?
During the extraction of a baby tooth, we apply fruit-flavored gel to the affected gum area, followed by administering local anesthesia so the child won’t feel the injection. We then detach the gum from the tooth to be extracted and gently wiggle it out.
