a.) if the Client fails to comply with the obligations set out in these GTC or with the obligation to cooperate with the Service Provider in order to achieve successful treatment, in particular if:
- the Client does not follow medical instructions;
- the Client disturbs other patients or the order of the Clinic by his or her behavior;

b.) if the Client fails to fulfill, or fulfills late, his or her payment obligations toward the Service Provider, or has outstanding overdue debts;
c.) if the Client requests a service that, in the opinion of the Service Provider, is impossible to perform;

4.3.
The Client is obliged to appear at the previously agreed appointment 15 minutes before the scheduled time, in a physical and mental condition suitable for treatment and examination, and — if required by the Service Provider — after completing the prescribed preparation.
Otherwise, the Service Provider is entitled to refuse the provision of the Service.
If the Client arrives late compared to the agreed appointment time, the Service Provider shall assess whether the Service can be performed, and if the Service can be commenced within 10 minutes of the scheduled time, the Service Provider shall proceed with the performance of the Service.
shall commence the Service. If, due to the delay, sufficient time remains from a professional perspective to properly treat the Client, the Service Provider shall perform the treatment within the available time.
In all other cases, the Service Provider shall not perform the Service, shall consider the delay as a failure to attend on the part of the Client, and the Client shall be obliged to pay the fee specified in Section 5.6.
4.4.
The Client is entitled to request the suspension or termination of a treatment series, which shall qualify as termination of the Contract. In such case, the Client shall be obliged to pay for the Services performed up to that point and the cost of materials ordered up to that time.
4.5.
The Client is obliged to cooperate with the Service Provider. Within this framework, the Client shall in particular:
- provide detailed information necessary for establishing the diagnosis, preparing the appropriate treatment plan, and performing interventions, especially regarding any prior illnesses, treatments, allergies, use of medication or medicinal products, and health risk factors;
- inform the Service Provider of factors influencing the treatment, such as any infectious diseases and any conditions excluding the provision of the Service;
- fully comply with medical instructions received in connection with the Service and treatment;
- respect the operational rules of the Service Provider known to him or her.
4.6.
The Client is obliged to settle the Service fee within the applicable deadline.
4.7.
The Client must notify the Service Provider in writing of any specific aesthetic or other individual expectations prior to the commencement of the respective intervention.
5. SERVICE FEES AND PAYMENT TERMS
5.1.
The fees for the Services shall be governed by the Service Provider’s current price list, which is available on the Service Provider’s website and in printed form at the Clinic. The Client shall also be informed thereof in the prior Quotation.
5.2.
Unless otherwise provided or agreed, the Service Provider’s offer (in particular fees and material costs) shall remain valid for 30 days following communication to the Client.
If the Contract is concluded within this period, and unless otherwise agreed, the Service Provider shall be entitled to apply the price list and conditions in force at the time of performance for Services to be provided more than 3 months after the conclusion of the Contract.
5.3.
The Service fee and other conditions of performance (e.g., duration of treatment) may be modified until completion of the Service depending on individual circumstances (including, but not limited to, incomplete or delayed data provision by the Client, the Client’s individual physical condition, healing process, clinical findings, or other professional reasons arising during treatment, such as unforeseen interventions or additional material costs, etc.).
In such cases, the Service Provider shall inform the Client without undue delay where possible.
5.4.
The Client shall settle the Service fees, the costs of materials used, and the costs of intermediary services as follows:
a.) The Service fee shall be paid simultaneously with the provision of the Service by bank card, instant transfer, or cash payment;
b.) In the case of orthodontic Services, 50% of the service fee is payable at the time of impression-taking, and the remaining amount shall be paid upon delivery;
c.) The Service Provider is entitled to make the use of its Services conditional upon the payment of a deposit corresponding to a percentage of the service fee determined by the Service Provider.
By its nature, if the Contract is performed, the paid deposit shall be deducted from the dental service fee.
If performance of the Contract becomes impossible for reasons for which neither Party is responsible, or both Parties are responsible, the deposit shall be refunded.
The Party responsible for the failure of performance shall forfeit the deposit; if the Service Provider is responsible, it shall refund the received deposit in double amount.
5.5.
Payment obligations may be fulfilled in cash, by bank card, by bank transfer, or by using the health insurance card of a contracted partner.
5.6.
If the Client is unable to attend the pre-arranged appointment due to any impediment, the appointment may be cancelled free of charge no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled time.
If cancellation occurs within 24 hours, or if the Client fails to attend, or arrives so late that the planned treatment can no longer be performed, the Service Provider may charge a standby fee of HUF 15,000 as a penalty, which the Client shall be obliged to pay simultaneously with the fee of the next visit or next treatment.
5.7.
In the event of late payment, default interest at an annual rate of 12% shall be payable for the period of delay.
5.8.
If the Client intends to use the financing of an insurance company or health fund during the Service, this must be indicated prior to the treatment and at the time of completing the Medical History Form (Anamnesis Form).
6. DATA PROTECTION AND CONFIDENTIALITY PROVISIONS
6.1.

6.4.
The Client acknowledges that the data and information provided regarding his or her health condition on the Medical History Form are necessary for determining the content of dental treatments and medical care, and declares that the data provided are complete. The Client undertakes to inform the Service Provider of any changes occurring during the course of treatment.
6.5.
The Client acknowledges that the treating physician acting on behalf of the Service Provider is entitled to request a consultation from another specialist in contractual relationship with the Service Provider. Accordingly, personal data recorded by the Service Provider may be accessed not only by the treating physician but also by other specialists under contract with the Service Provider for the purpose of ensuring effective medical care and performance of the Contract.
6.6.
The Client acknowledges that the Service Provider stores the contact details of the Client and his or her legal representative together with the patient’s medical documentation.

8. FURTHER PROVISIONS REGARDING PERFORMANCE OF THE SERVICE AND COOPERATION BETWEEN THE PARTIES
8.1.
With regard to the examination, consultation and treatment plan, the Service Provider informs the Client, and the Client acknowledges the following:
- The material or treatment alternatives offered in the Quotation, Treatment Plan or other document, or during verbal consultation—even if there are significant price differences—do not represent a distinction between good and bad solutions. The appropriate solution is selected jointly by the doctor and the Client after weighing the advantages and disadvantages.
- Several doctors work at the Service Provider’s clinic in different specialties; therefore, in certain cases, it may be necessary to consult more than one physician in order to establish a complete treatment concept. The development, modification or finalization of the Treatment Plan falls within the competence of the respective specialist.
8.2.
In the case of certain Services—where applicable—it is the Client’s duty and responsibility during the planning and trial process to verify that the result corresponds to his/her expectations in terms of comfort and aesthetics, while the Service Provider is responsible for supervising medical and professional aspects.
The Client acknowledges that once a condition has been approved, subsequent modifications may not be possible or may only be possible to a limited extent. Either Party may propose repeating the trial or modifying the orthodontic appliance at the given work phase, which may result—among other consequences—in an extension of the performance deadline.
8.3. Complaint Handling

- Provide a copy to the Client on site in the case of a personal oral complaint;
- Send a copy to the Client together with the written response within 30 days in the case of oral complaints made by telephone or electronic communication.
Written complaints shall be substantively answered in writing within 30 days of receipt. If the complaint is rejected, the Service Provider shall provide justification.
The exercise of the right to lodge a complaint regarding healthcare services does not affect the Client’s right to contact a patient rights representative or other competent bodies.
The Service Provider shall keep records of complaints and retain related documents for 5 years.

Information on Certain Outpatient Dental Services Provided by Manó Dental
Manó Dental Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság
(Registered office: 1138 Budapest, Viza utca 9. A. building, ground floor 2.), as a healthcare provider, hereby presents the services it provides and the essential information related thereto.
1. THE GENERAL PROCESS OF DENTAL TREATMENT
Consultation, Condition Assessment and Familiarization
1.1. Initial Examination / Consultation
Every new child patient’s treatment begins with a general condition assessment. This dental examination is completely painless. During this appointment, complaints are discussed, and the oral cavity, teeth and gums are examined.
At this stage, it is also important to discuss individual aesthetic and functional goals and expectations. It is essential that during the first meeting the Client can clearly express his/her wishes and desired final outcome.
1.2. Diagnostics
During the condition assessment, our dentist evaluates the condition of the teeth and gums. The examination includes screening for possible benign and malignant lesions of the oral mucosa. We assess the effectiveness of individual oral hygiene and the amount of tartar.
To determine the cause of the problem and select the appropriate treatment solution, our Clinic’s high-quality technical equipment provides support. By applying these technologies, an accurate diagnosis can be established, forming a secure basis for the development of the treatment plan.
1.3. Dental Treatment Plan
Following the diagnosis, the appropriate dental treatment and service are selected. The Clinic’s broad service portfolio and the specialized expertise of its professionals ensure that the Client’s issue is treated by the dentist with the highest relevant expertise and experience.
In many cases, the treatment plan requires cooperation between multiple specialties. This guarantees professional and premium-quality care for the Client.
1.4. Dental Treatment
The Clinic strives to ensure that dental treatments are stress-free and painless. This not only makes the experience easier for young patients, but also positively influences the speed, efficiency and outcome of the treatment.
1.5. Dental Check-ups
Individual dental treatments must be followed by regular and periodic check-up examinations, which help preserve and maintain the achieved results.
It is advisable to continue paying close attention to dental check-ups and regular oral hygiene treatments, including professional tartar removal.
Information on Individual Dental Services
1. Tooth Extraction / Tooth Removal
- Tooth extraction is performed under local anesthesia and, thanks to modern anesthetics and techniques, is generally painless; the child may only feel mild pressure or levering. If pain is felt, please indicate it.
- After the anesthetic effect wears off, pain or discomfort may occur; in such case, the child may take a pain reliever that you would otherwise normally give and that the child is used to taking.
- Please ensure that after the intervention the child does not eat until the anesthetic effect has worn off; liquids may be consumed. Milk, dairy products, hot, spicy, and seeded foods (walnuts, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, muesli) must not be eaten for 48 hours. Soft foods are recommended.
- After tooth removal, for 4–5 hours the saliva may be pale red due to blood oozing from the wound. Do not try to stop bleeding by rinsing, because if the blood clot is washed out of the wound, it will start bleeding again. If you observe heavy bleeding in your child, please return to our clinic.
- After extraction, gum or facial swelling of varying degree may occur, and possibly slight bluish discoloration of the facial skin. Swelling may be reduced by cooling the cheek (compresses and/or icing). Swelling typically subsides by the 3rd–4th day after extraction. If it does not, please contact our clinic.
- It is possible that antibiotics and painkillers will be needed; the treating doctor will inform you about this after the extraction. The medications prescribed by the doctor must be taken and dosed exactly as instructed—only in this way can successful treatment be ensured.
- The affected area may be cleaned with a toothbrush after 24 hours. The risk of complications is much lower if perfect oral hygiene is maintained even after extraction. In the case of surgical removal, from the day after surgery until suture removal (1 week), rinse the extraction site only with an oral disinfectant; clean the other teeth in the usual manner.
- If during wound healing—even after several days—you feel throbbing, sharp, continuous pain, or the general condition worsens (e.g., fever develops), please be sure to contact our dental clinic.
- As with any intervention, this procedure has risks. Very rarely, jaw fracture or injury to blood vessels or nerves may occur, which can cause bleeding and prolonged numbness.
2. Tartar Removal / Scaling and Polishing
- The purpose of tartar removal is to eliminate hard tartar and plaque deposits on the teeth and along the gumline that can no longer be removed by toothbrushing. In children, the treatment is primarily preventive and helps prevent gingivitis, tooth decay, and unpleasant breath.
- The treatment begins with a brief dental examination during which the dentist or dental hygienist examines the teeth and gums. Tartar is usually removed using an ultrasonic device that loosens deposits with gentle vibration; cleaning may be supplemented with hand instruments if necessary.
- The procedure is not painful; the child may only experience mild vibration or a tickling sensation. At the end, the teeth are polished to smooth the surface so plaque adheres less easily.
- The entire process usually takes 10–20 minutes, and anesthesia is rarely needed.
- After tartar removal, teeth are cleaner and smoother and gums become healthier. Mild gum sensitivity or minimal bleeding may occur, especially if gingivitis was present before, but these typically resolve shortly. The child may eat and drink immediately after treatment without special restrictions.
- Tartar removal not only protects dental health, but also helps the child get used to the dental environment, contributing to later treatments without fear.
3. Orthodontics
Orthodontic treatment should be started when teeth are misaligned or the jaws have not developed properly. Beyond aesthetic issues, abnormal dentition and/or jaw alignment may cause temporomandibular joint complaints, contribute to improper speech articulation, and may also lead to psychological issues. Proper orthodontic treatment started in time can restore facial aesthetics and enable correct chewing and speech.
A prerequisite for orthodontic treatment is good oral hygiene and sound, caries-free teeth. Therefore, before starting therapy, other dental treatments may often be necessary.
After treatment begins—depending on the type of appliance—the patient must typically attend activation appointments every 4–6 weeks throughout the therapy. The orthodontic specialist evaluates each case individually, prepares a plan, and initiates the most optimal personalized treatment; therefore, appliance selection, follow-up frequency, and treatment duration depend on the individual case.
Successful orthodontic treatment is the result of cooperation between the orthodontist and the patient. To achieve the desired result, it is important to attend scheduled appointments and follow the treating doctor’s instructions, including maintaining proper oral hygiene. Treatment duration may vary depending on the patient’s age, the complexity of the problem, and the type of appliance. It is completely normal for treatment to feel uncomfortable at first; this will lessen over time as the patient adapts.
After completion of orthodontic treatment, a retention appliance is fitted to maintain the position of the teeth moved during therapy. Please ask our staff about its cost or consult our price list available on our website. Following treatment, effects may occur that alter the tooth positions achieved during therapy, such as mouth breathing, eruption of wisdom teeth, or tongue thrusting. Such newly arising changes may be corrected by repeated orthodontic treatment, in some cases with a removable appliance or even surgical intervention.
In certain cases, removal of some primary or permanent teeth may become necessary. This must always be done based on the treating doctor’s recommendation. During treatment, special attention must be paid to proper oral hygiene; otherwise, due to more difficult cleaning, tooth decay, discoloration, and gingivitis can develop more easily. This is one of the reasons why frequent specialist visits are important.
In rare cases, root resorption may occur; in such situations, it is advisable to interrupt treatment and continue therapy after stabilization. Throughout the entire treatment period, the patient should consume only foods that do not damage the appliance. Any unusual event, pain, jaw clicking, difficulty opening or closing, or a detached bracket must be reported to the treating doctor immediately.
We re-bond a bracket free of charge if it falls off within one week of the last treatment, provided the patient reported the detachment to the clinic immediately. For brackets that fall off after one week, we charge HUF 3,000 per bracket, since in such cases a new bracket must always be bonded.
In all cases, please inform the specialist if the patient takes medication regularly, as in certain cases this may affect achieving the desired result.
It is important to consider that ongoing changes and eruption of wisdom teeth may influence the course of orthodontic therapy. If you experience this, consult your treating doctor, as removal of wisdom teeth may be necessary to continue therapy.
In extremely rare cases, an allergic reaction may occur to certain parts of the orthodontic appliance. In such cases, inform the treating doctor immediately, as the type of appliance must be changed.
During alignment, as a result of moving teeth, small gaps may develop; in such cases, the chewing surface may need to be evened out by grinding, and in cases of tooth contact, a small amount of enamel may need to be removed.
Rarely, due to tooth size, shape, or missing teeth, it may not be possible to completely eliminate certain gaps. In such cases, always consult your treating doctor about what other dental intervention may be necessary.
Smoking may negatively affect treatment success, as it slows tooth movement and can cause various damage to the dentition, which may result in the need to discontinue treatment.
During orthodontic treatment, additional auxiliary devices may be used temporarily, such as metal wires, screws, and elastics. These may occasionally loosen or fall out, and may poke or in some cases cut the patient’s gums. In such cases, always consult your treating doctor, as it may be necessary to trim a wire, place a new elastic, or in extreme cases—if gingivitis develops—prescribe antibiotics. If any of the above complications occur, additional dental intervention may be required, which entails additional costs.

4. Treatment of Tooth Decay (Caries)
Childhood tooth decay is a common problem and may already develop in primary (baby) teeth. A decayed tooth can cause pain and may also become a source of infection; therefore, its treatment is important for the child’s health and for the proper development of permanent teeth.
Treatment always begins with a thorough dental examination and, if necessary, an X-ray. The dentist removes the decayed, infected tooth structure and then restores the tooth with a child-friendly filling material.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia or with topical anesthetic gel only, so the child does not feel pain, at most slight pressure or vibration. The duration of treatment is short and always adapted to the child’s age and tolerance. Special attention is given to creating a calm and safe atmosphere.
- In case of early decay: strengthening treatment, fluoride application
- In case of moderate decay: dental filling
- In advanced cases: special pediatric dental treatment (root canal treatment), rarely tooth extraction
The appropriate treatment method is always selected individually, with the child’s best interest in mind. The treated tooth becomes pain-free, and chewing function is restored. Rarely, temporary sensitivity may occur, which resolves within a short time. After treatment, the child can usually return immediately to normal daily activities. Early detection and treatment of tooth decay lead to good healing outcomes and help establish a long-term healthy smile.
5. Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment of a permanent tooth may be necessary in cases of pulp inflammation or necrosis, inflammation around the root tip, or previously inadequate root filling.
To save the tooth in the above cases, it must either be extracted or preserved through root canal treatment followed by restoration. During root canal treatment, diseased tissue is removed and the root canal system is prepared for root filling. Several X-rays, and possibly CBCT imaging, may be required during treatment.
Using special antibacterial procedures, we reduce the number of bacteria causing the disease, then place root filling material into the root canals. Finally, depending on the case, the tooth is restored with a filling, indirect restoration, or crown. The treatment usually requires multiple appointments. In some cases, preliminary surgical treatment, such as crown-lengthening surgery, may be necessary to make the tooth suitable for root canal treatment and restoration.
Possible Risks and Complications
Despite our best efforts to preserve the tooth, rare complications or side effects may occur, such as inflammatory complaints, post-treatment pain, very rarely temporary or permanent numbness due to nerve injury, bruising that may resolve over several days after anesthesia, persistence or worsening of symptoms, tooth fracture, foreign body, filling material or irrigating solution entering the tissues around the root tip, fracture of instruments in the root canal, limited ability to fully widen and disinfect the root canal system, perforation of the tooth, formation of a false canal, allergic reaction to materials used, or inhalation (aspiration) of a foreign body (e.g., an instrument).
For these reasons, root canal treatment always represents a last attempt to save the tooth; if unsuccessful, tooth extraction may become necessary.
6. ICON Dental Treatment
White spots appearing on smooth tooth surfaces are often early signs of tooth decay. These are most commonly caused by difficulty cleaning during fixed orthodontic treatment or improper brushing technique, in both younger and older children. The ICON caries infiltration technique is a non-invasive, painless treatment method.
The mechanism of action is based on the capillary effect: after preparing and conditioning the tooth surface, a liquid, light-curing special resin material is applied into the decayed or damaged layers of the tooth or weakened enamel areas (e.g., in the case of spotted teeth). This material hermetically fills and seals these porous layers.
After application, the newly “infiltrated/filled” surface is finished and polished with fine polishing brushes and discs. By the end of treatment, the light refraction and color of the treated tooth may become similar to that of healthy enamel. Certain cases of fluorosis, discoloration, enamel defects caused by injury, early carious lesions, and enamel decalcification marks remaining after fixed orthodontic treatment can be successfully treated.
7. Colored Filling for Primary Teeth
Because the structure of primary teeth differs from that of permanent teeth, decay spreads more quickly in primary dentition. Decayed baby teeth can also endanger newly erupting permanent teeth. If neglected, decay in primary teeth may cause serious pain similar to that in permanent teeth; therefore, it is very important to treat them with fillings.
During treatment, the affected decayed area is removed using a dental drill or special hand instruments. The prepared cavity is then filled with a filling material, which in the case of colored fillings is hardened using a photopolymerization lamp.
TwinkyStar® colored, glitter-containing filling material was specifically developed for children and is available in eight cheerful colors. By offering color choice, we can better involve our young patients in their treatment process. For children who are more reserved, choosing the color of their filling may provide encouragement. We provide a six-month warranty for colored fillings in primary teeth.
8. Trainer Appliance
Trainer appliances are comfortable, colorful devices made of soft, flexible material. They help our young patients achieve proper jaw development and break harmful habits (thumb sucking, prolonged pacifier use) as well as eliminate other parafunctions (mouth breathing, abnormal swallowing patterns, teeth grinding) that play a decisive role in the development of the face, jaws, and teeth, and in the formation and persistence of bite and speech disorders.
Mechanism of action:
By utilizing natural muscle forces, the appliance modifies neuromuscular regulation. Through influencing the dynamic balance of perioral muscle function, the resting position and functional activity of the tongue, and the preference for nasal breathing, it affects jaw development. With early application, children develop proper chewing and swallowing habits, and breathing patterns improve.
